Bio Information
Alan’s career has been one of service, first in the medical field with the US Navy and with the University of South Carolina, followed by human resource positions with Milliken and Company, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Company, and finally as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for one of the largest world-wide insurance organizations in the industry. Alan is married, has two daughters, two grandchildren and two black labs. However, if asked who runs the household, he’ll answer without hesitation, “the dogs of course”. Alan’s hobbies include golf and fishing, although he and his wife recently acquired a potter’s wheel and kiln and are, literally, trying their hands at pottery. Alan enjoys throwing and Linda, who is an accomplished artist, glazes. It’s a perfect match!
