Bio Information
Bob Melberth brings more than twenty-five years of executive level experience with franchise companies to your coaching journey. From large franchise organizations, (McDonald’s and Wendy’s) to small start-up companies, (Discovery Zone and Chi Chi’s) Bob has guided franchise owners to success in varied concepts and environments.
Bob’s officer level positions with McDonalds, Wendy’s and AFC (Popeye’s Fried Chicken) came with the support of the franchise community. Bob has long recognized that the franchisee’s talents are the primary key to a franchisor’s success.
Most importantly, to those seeking to become franchise owners, Bob has been a franchisee twice during his career. His first franchise was with Duff's Famous Smorgasbord and his second was with Chi-Chi's Mexican Restaurants. He became a franchisee early in each company’s development and was instrumental in creating successful systems that lead both to peak profitability.
Bob’s leadership has been recognized through rapid promotions in some of the nation’s largest franchise organizations. His national level Vice President positions for both Wendy’s and Popeye’s were characterized by franchise success (18% revenue growth) and customer recognition (2005 Restaurants and Institutions Consumer’s Choice Crystal Award). McDonald’s recognized Bob with two McDonald’s Team Awards, the Spiral of Success Award, for increased operator cash flow, and the Development Team of the Year Award two years in succession.
Bob is proudest of his family, wife, Linda of thirty-four years, and sons Rob and Adam. He has served on many charitable organization boards, including the Ronald McDonald House of Milwaukee.
